We moved to Baton Rouge in 1968, when I was 6 years old. One of my first memories of our mid-century home in Broadmoor was designing the floor plan for my future dream home with lines made of pine straw in our front yard. Little did I know that 46 years later, my love of home design would lead me to a career in real estate.
I graduated from Broadmoor High School in 1981, LSU in 1985 and the LSU Law School on 1991. I spent 20 years practicing health care law. My legal career took me from New York City to Seattle to Washington DC, working on national class action lawsuits, forming foundations, advising corporate boards, and advising physicians statewide.
In 2011, the pull to be closer to home for my children became very strong. My children were in 4th and 7th grade at the time and I eased in to a life of carpools, soccer, baseball, horse shows and volunteering at their schools. These simple times with my children were the best times of my life.
In 2014, I began to miss working and decided to try real estate. I truly love being a REALTOR. Law and real estate may not seem to have many similarities, but I quickly realized that they have many common threads running through them: problem solving, research, integrity, and personalized service tailored to the needs of each client.
I am still a fully licensed attorney and use my legal skills everyday as I help buyers and sellers navigate the complex process of buying and selling homes. My expertise as an attorney guides the analysis I conduct when helping sellers prepare and position their homes to sell. Helping buyers find the home that best fits their needs and budget requires careful research, extensive knowledge of the Baton Rouge area and our local market.
Assisting clients in the process of relocating to the Baton Rouge area has been a great pleasure. It is a privilege to introduce people from all over to the rich culture of Louisiana. I also love helping first time home buyers walk through the entire home buying process, their excitement is infectious. My clients quickly become friends and the greatest compliment is when they refer their friends and family to me.
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with family and friends. My hobbies include yoga, spin, antiquing, and catching up on the latest design trends. I also enjoy volunteering: from school nurse's office, school fund-raising, to serving on the Boards of Woman's Hospital, Baton Rouge Symphony League and University View Academy, a local charter school. I am so grateful for the opportunity to serve others.
Call me for all of your real estate needs and I will guide you through the process!
